YESand.com was created in May, 1999 by Asaf Ronen as a way to learn about the artform he loved from people who knew it better. In its early years, it served as a resource with essays from well-known teachers, coverage of various improv festivals, articles about notable groups and performers, and more. In addition, it featured the first message boards to bring the international improv community together .
Since then, social media has grown so vast that it was longer needed in that capacity and YESand.com struggled to find its relevant place. Nonetheless, we held on to the URL (because damn, it’s a good URL).
Now, YESand.com serves as a portal to all the other resources that exist online: blogs, podcasts, books, and videos, as well as an essay series written by our own Asaf Ronen.
If you are like us, you’re hooked on improvisation and we are glad to direct you to your next fix.
